November 9, 10 and 11, 2012

November 2012 marks the sixth year for the Canandaigua Christkindl Market. This event is held on the lawn of the majestic Granger Homestead and Carriage Museum in a series of decorated heated tents and brings together over 150 regional artisans and unique food vendors. - This year we have expanded our space and will have TWO LARGE tents for vendors. - German food along with traditional fare, wine, beer and "Gideon's Grog" will be available. Live entertainment and holiday music will fill the tents throughout the show.
Admission is $6.00 per person.

The Christkindl Angel is a tradition of this type of market. A local young girl will be crowned as our Angel and reign throughout the event. Young guests will be able to meet the Christkindl Angel during the Christkindl Market weekend as well as Santa and Mrs. Claus who will be waiting to greet them in Santa's House.

Back again will be our Elf School, taught by local elves and our Christkindl Angel. Elf School is open to all children at no additional cost. A parade of lanterns throughout the Granger Homestead property will take place on Saturday featuring children and their own hand-made lanterns.

Several of our antique carriages will be available for rides (weather permitting) each afternoon of the festival weekend. Costs for these memorable rides will be posted soon.

The Granger Homestead opens its Festival of Trees this weekend also. For a small additional fee, you can view decorated trees, wreaths and other seasonal decorations donated by local businesses, groups and individuals. Many items will be available through a silent auction.

And don't miss the much-anticipated Bake Sale, that is put on by the Granger Homestead Women's Council, located on the back porch of the mansion. What a great way to start your holiday treats collection.
